Comments:

My husband of almost 48 years and I graduated from TUHS together. We met in the 6th grade and our teacher was Mr. Litchfield. We lived aprox. 1 mile from each other.
After Gene and I married in March of 1962, he worked for Mesa Public Schools for 11 years and I was a homemaker and also worked at Motorola. We then moved to Roosevelt, AZ. in 1974, raised our children here. I worked as a cashier and then I worked for Southwest Parks and Monuments and then was a Park Ranger at Tonto National Monument. In 1987 I started my own business as a caregiver and retired in 2003 and then took care of my aging father who passed away in 2004. I retired the same day Gene did and now we like to raise a garden, love on our little toy poodle Zoie, and visit with our kids, grandkids and great grandkids. We love to fish, hike and take off to camp in our 5th wheel.
I have been with Classmates a very long time. Go there to see my info and pictures I helped Dan Clark gather names for our 40th reunion, attended and got to see alot of my friends. I stay in contact with JoDene Pestor, Kay Johnson, Dan Clark, Laura Scott, Valle Phillips, Dick Erickson.
I would love to hear from more of my classmates.
Gene found out he had bladder cance almost 3 yrs. ago and after treatments, he has been cancer free. We just live everday to the fullest.

School Story:

Gene Carter and I were chosen senior class council reps. in government class and we blossomed as a team then. We are still a team and we have been very happy together.

I am glad to see that you have been located. I helped Dan Clark with names for our 40th reunion but couldn't find you. I have a profile and so does my husband Gene Carter as we graduated together in 1961 at TUHS. Would love to here from you. I have kept in contact with Kay Johnson, Laura Scott, John Ellingson, Dan Clark, JoDene Pester and others.

I was out feeding my birds in our back yard early one morning, barefoot when I took a step and looked down to see my big toe just in front of this rattle snakes head and my other foot was lifted to take a step. I thought my heart was going to run away with me. He was sick or I would have been bitten for sure. I had criss crossed the yard many times that morning and I don't know how I missed stepping on it. My legs were also bare.
