I married to kay Johnson from our class and we moved to Dallas for 35 years. I owned an advertising Company. We have two Daughters and 3 grand children, and then got divored. I have not re-married, but I have been engaged for 8 years to Joan Chester. She was from Washington State so we moved up here and built a Tuscany style B&B. Check out the link on my profile.

I worked at Economic Development for several years for this County and retired for the 3rd time and now help run the Villa. 3 years ago I formed a group of local people to build and open a brewery in our littl town Marins. It's called River Mile 38 Brewing. It has been totally accepted by the local people and in the last two years tourists have found it. Now it's a full time business instead a hobby for us.

I love the cool, wet, green, and very rural life style here. After the fast pace of Dallas and trying to bang out a living it is really nice to slow down and smell the flowers.

If you ever plan to visit the Pacific Northwest give us a call!!

School Story:

High School Stories:

Too many to tell and some would still get me into trouble. For all you guys that did all that stuff with me .. you remember it .. and nobody else would care about it.

Football and my team are still fresh in my mind. Lots of good times

What have you been doing since the 40 year reunion in 2001?

The last 10 years have been sort of crazy. In Dallas I met a wonderful lady Joan, fell in love - again- and then relocated to SW Washington State. We built a Tuscany style Bed and Breakfast Villa. We were going to be innkeepers for 5-10 years. After we opened the Villa I then took the job as the County Economic Development Director for 3 1/2 years until we developed the B&B Business. Then I retired from that and became the Chamber of Commerce President. Now we are building our retirement home down on the River. We hope to sell the Villa in the next few years, move into the smaller home and travel.

How many careers have you had in the past 50 years? Did you have a favorite or most rewarding?

US Air Force

What career did you always want to try but never did?

What are you most nostalgic about from your Tempe High School years?

I know just a dumb jock! Football, Track & Hunting. I really do miss my team mates. As a kid from across the tracks all of my friends meant a lot to me. Having a group of friends that not only supported me in sports, but they were always ready to go camping, water skiing on the canals, getting somebody to buy a six pack for us, and driving our "fast" cars that we had to repair every weekend.

Favorite Music, Then and Now?

Then I loved Jazz, Now I love Blues

Favorite Movie(s), Then and Now?

Any John Wayne Move then and now

Favorite T.V. Program(s), Then and Now?

Re runs fo John Wayne Movies

What teachers stand out most from those Tempe High School days? Why?

All my teachers that were coaches

What would you like to share about what you've learned from life the past 50 years since Tempe High School?

Hard work and long hours, keeping the mind sharp is what it takes to have success in this world. Being very competitive in sports made me a better businessman.

Are there any embarrassing moments that you are interested in sharing? Strictly optional.

too many times on our camping trips or in the gym, best just leave it there!

Who is that "one person" you would like to see and talk with from your days at Tempe High? Why?

Wow Tom, I never heard that story. Going to Phoenix and Bob’s Big Boy is what we did in those days. Penny was a sweet person. Always had a smile and a kind word. It’s sad we are losing our classmates.

Good morning ole pal, I assume you are home, staying away from people like the rest of us old farts! My Joan goes to the store because she tells my I am old and in the dangerous group! Damn I say! So I work in the yard and drink beer on the beach. We built a cottage on the beach to rent out so that keeps me busy. How about you BIRTHDAY BOY? Maybe you should come up to the PNW stay in the cottage and enjoy the beauty of our River in July!!

Great photo guy, you two are growing old with class. It’s great that we are vertical, healthy, happy. HAPPY NEW YEAR. Joan and I are expanding our Villa B&B by adding a beach cottage to rent. If you find your way West come and visit SW Washington State.
